Equally, it is appropriate for those requiring an in depth knowledge of portable fire equipment. Although prior knowledge can be useful it is not essential. We have trained many delegates who have no experience at all and still successfully complete the course and assessment.

You do not need to bring along any tools as we provide these for the duration of the course.

Specialist service tools can now be purchased online. We can supply many more tools than those featured so please contact us with your requirements.

Successful delegates upon completing the written and practical assessment (BAFE) will be qualified to service and maintain portable fire extinguishers and will receive an industry recognised qualification and certificate.

We do recommend that delegates stay in the locality for the duration of the course. Delegates will benefit from revising away from the training venue and if this involves a lengthy drive in rush hour traffic morning and evening then revision time will be limited.

After completion of this course delegates should attend a Refresher Course every three years.Fire Extinguisher Maintenance Refresher Course

Please note: Due to changes in recent British Standards if a Refresher Course has not been attended within 3 years of the last Refresher Course, or the original course whereby the basic qualification was obtained, then the original qualification will lapse. The basic Fire Extinguisher Maintenance Course and assessment will have to be re-taken. The Refresher course can be booked within the three year window and attended within 6 months of the last Refresher Course/basic qualification obtained.*Please refer to BS5306:3-2017 for more detailed information.Anyone who has to re-attend an examination after attending the basic course must do so within 12 months of the original assessment date otherwise any part of the assessment that was passed will lapse.
